 Independent Reading

  Students read 6 books each quarter.

  • up to 299 pages = 1 book
  • 300-599 pages   = 2 books
  • 600+ pages        = 3 books 

 

 Each quarter, students read 2 (of the required 6) books with a Literature Circle.

  • Keep a Reading Response Journal to evidence deep, analytical reading of these books.

 

 Each quarter, students present a book talk on one book read independently.
